Stamp-a-Stack Cards

Yesterday's Stamp-a-Stack was a great time. We had a smaller group than usual, but with a couple of visitors we had a full house and a lot of laughter. This first card uses some previews from the new catalog which SHOULD be here any day now. I thought I was going to go into cardiac arrest yesterday when Ashley said there was a UPS package--unfortunately for everyone in the room, NO catalogs. Dreams du Jour is a set consisting of four images this main image here is really different than most stamps I own. I like that the floral image really complements the Bella Rose DSP which is used on the bottom of the card. I am going to go broke buying all of the new DSPs in the new catalog--from the peeks I've seen, they're fabulous!
This is a clean card that could have been a lot simpler without all the cutting--the presents are popped up on dimensionals. Eat Cake is one of my favorite sets and it's being retired so I thought I had better incorporate it into this class. I have always used the cake image from the set, never this gift! I used colors from a Kristina Werner color challenge that I did a while back, though I left out a color (Rose Red). I like the 'less is more' feel to this card. Not every card has to be layers and layers and weighed down with embellishments!
Today is a special day as Kate and JoLynn are celebrating their birthdays! Happy birthday, ladies! Wouldn't it be great if the new catties got here just in time for your big day!

For today's PHOTO TRIVIA....How many stampers does it take to make Kate's cards???

Awesome cards!! Love the scallop and how you cut the image out on the first one. The second one with the little gifts rocks! I love simple and striking! Looks like fun at your gathering. Do they bring their computers, or do you provide those?!
