Well, I was REALLY hoping to have the new SU! catalog by now, but it seems that Central Illinois will be among the LAST areas to receive catalogs! Oh well--gives me something to look forward to tomorrow, huh? In the meantime, here are some other cards from the SAS the other night. The first one uses some items that will be retiring--Friendship Circles (I LOVE this set!), Whale Wishes, DSP, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi. The card is very simple, but yes...I like simple and so do most of my class participants :-)
I used another retiring DSP for this next card and I cased an element from a card I recently saw by Silke Ledlow. I liked how she layered the scallop circle with the image from Kind Thoughts along with the butterfly. Her fabulous card can be seen HERE. I kinda botched up my butterfly when cutting it so I left it without any 'antenners' (as Cindy would say). I was going to add them in and never did...I'll fix it eventually!
This last card was our 'Oldies but Goodies' card. I guess you could say it was in honor of KATE's birthday! Just kidding--she's the one who kept calling herself an old lady :-) Almost everything on this card is retired--the Charbon DSP, the image from Wonderful Wings and the sentiment from All I Have Seen. Wonderful Wings is one of my favorite all-time sets and I realized that I couldn't remember one single card where I had used this dragonfly image--crazy, huh?
Well, I'm going to go say a prayer that my UPS guy shows up with my catalogs tomorrow though I don't suppose I'll have time to look at them seeing I'm babysitting my friend's three boys...wonder what time Family Video opens :-)
