Madeline is 2!

Well, it's official--my baby girl is a toddler. We had a great time celebrating her 2nd birthday with family and friends this past weekend. Here's a picture of her cake and I'll post some other pics of her cupcakes later--I made some decorations using some of my Stampin' Up! punches :-) I had some issues with the cake for the party so I had to revise my original design, but I think it still turned out okay and everyone was very complimentary about it so all is well in Cakeland. I ended up dying the marshmallow fondant that I made to use for the flowers since it tasted better than the Wilton brand, but I did use the Wilton for the border along the bottom. I also incorporated some sugar flowers that Maddie picked out at the Decorator's Grocery. Madeline loved her cake and in the end--that's all that matters :-)
As you can see, Mommy and Maddie were wiped out after the party. Madeline fell asleep as I was changing her out of her swimsuit and swim diaper so I had to carry her back to the shelter and car. Man, she has gotten heavy! Obviously, she ran herself ragged at the party chasing after all of her cousins and boyfriends. As I looked around, I realized that Madeline REALLY needs some girlfriends--she was the only little girl at the party! I guess I should have done a Diego party instead :-)

Needless to say, I haven't had much time for crafting. I even missed the deadline to submit anything for Cards Magazine--BUMMER! I also realized this morning that I missed the Papertrey release this month!!! I went to order the set I wanted and it was sold out so no new stamps for me yet. So, yes...I don't know when my stamping mojo will return. The weather is so nice so I think I'll be spending my days at the pool. There will be a stamp-a-stack next Tuesday so I'll send an e-mail with the details on that. Hope to see you then!
