Okay, so obviously I LOVE these little cherry bling embellishments from Heidi Swapp and if you like them as well, you'll have a chance to win some at the end of this post! I made this card for today's challenge on Splitcoast which was to make a card at least 4" x 8" (mine is 4" x 9"). I think this is the largest card I've ever made! As soon as I saw the challenge, I knew I wanted to use one of Beate's Weekend Sketches that she had done a while back--I liked it but had never gotten around to it. I decided to use my Hero Arts Cupcake set for the main images and then I used Polka Dot Basics by Papertrey Ink for the background panels. I added some new glittery brads to the left and finished the card off with some wide grosgrain ribbon in Celery and a thinner gingham ribbon in pink. The images were colored with an Aqua Painter and inks in Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. I went over some of the pieces with my Sakura Stardust pen and Aqua Painter for some added shimmer. My friend Ann came over to stamp with me today and you can see her card HERE.
So, for those of you who made it to the end--do you want to win some of these Cherry Bling pieces from Heidi Swapp? Just leave a comment on this post and I'll pick a winner on Sunday. I'll send you half a sheet which includes 8 different pieces in red and pink in a variety of sizes. Thanks for stopping by!
