Technique Tuesday Textiles

For those who have followed the blog for a while, you know I fell in love with acrylic stamps when I realized that they weren't all crap. My first good experience with 'clear' stamps was at CKC when I was introduced to Technique Tuesday. I had heard of their products and even looked at their stamps a few times at Friend'z, but I never actually tried their stamps out until this past October and I was hooked. Now, of course it may seem odd that I'm going on and on about their stamps and there is only a Stampin' Up! stamp on this card pictured here...let me explain. The only Technique Tuesday set I have is a flourishes set and I TRIED unsuccessfully to make it work with my project. On the Technique Tuesday blog, there was an entry about a new product--textiles. Blog readers could request a free sample and participate in a challenge. That pink scalloped piece is actually a textile that was colored with some Stampin' Up! craft ink in Pretty in Pink. I sandwiched it between a larger scalloped circle in Chocolate Chip and the stamped image which is stamped on a Technique Tile (it's a type of chipboard that TT makes--JoLynn and I fell in love with it!). The layout of this card might look familiar...because I've used it THREE TIMES this week alone! Yes, I need to start keeping sketches handy so I can mix things up a bit. I don't expect to win any challenge contest, but it was fun to try out a new product and participate! I can't wait to check out their booth at CKC the next time I'm there :-)

ADDITIONAL INFO: Check out JoLynn's entry--it's fabulous!
