CC168: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla

I hope you all had a relaxing holiday weekend--I know I did! My mom came to visit and we had such a great time. I didn't get any crafting done, but I did some GARDENING! Now, those who know me will most likely think I'm telling lies, but really--I pulled weeds and my mom pretty much did the rest :-). I was fortunate enough to begin my weekend with a trip to the Farmer's Market with Caroline and Elizabeth--locavores who were more than happy to bring this neophyte with them and show her the ropes. We also made a trip to a local florist to buy some fresh herbs. I thought I'd just plant them in pots on my deck but Steve had other ideas and fortunately my mom was here to help lead the project. Oh, and did I mention do most of the work? So, anyway I was happy to try and squeeze in a little crafting time today. I only had 25 minutes to make a card and that left with me little room for creativity. I decided to use Polka Dot Basics by PTI to make the background and then from there I went with something very similar to a card I've made before. I CASE'd myself I guess you could say. Hopefully, this evening I can take my time and make something more unique--we'll see how that works out for me. For now, I must attend to my disaster of a house and take advantage of the fact that my DD is taking a nap :-) Thanks for stopping by!
