Quick Minis: Take Two

Maddie LOVES Disney's The Little Einsteins--she'd sit and watch them all day if she could. On her first airplane ride, Steve and I about split a gut because she started patting on her legs and lifting her arms to 'blast off' just like the Einsteins do in their rocket! Needless to say, I just had to have this stamp and coordinating sentiment when I saw them. The rocket immediately makes me think of Maddie and then of course, I really do love her to the moon and back! We're thinking of doing a Little Einsteins theme for her 2nd birthday this summer so this stamp may come in handy when making invites and 'thank you' cards. I made this card for the mini card challenge today on Splitcoast. I've been wanting to make a circular card so I busted out my old Creative Memories Circle Cutter and made the base of this card using Basic Black cardstock and I also used it for that red circle. I stamped the rocket on a Whisper White circle that was punched out with my Marvy Uchida Mega Circle Punch. I colored the image using a combination of Copic markers and Stampin' Write markers. I added some sparkle using my Spica Glitter Pens (love these) on the nose and tail of the rocket and embellished the scallop circle with my UniBall Signo Gel Pen. I finished the card of with some Real Red Wide Grosgrain ribbon and I think I need to trim the ends down a little further because they look just a tad bit too long. These mini cards are addicting so I may have to do another one when Maddie's napping this afternoon!

Is the I love you to the moon and back a stamp or did you write that yourself? That is our little saying to each other!
