Stamp a Stack Cards from 2/12/08

Last night's Stamp-a-Stack was hoppin'! With 14 attendees, there was a lot of cardmaking going on that is for sure. If this trend continues, I will definitely need a larger stampin' area :-) On a serious note, I will try and do a better job of tracking when people are coming/going so that it isn't too crowded at one particular time. Well, let's get on to the fun part--the cards we made. This first one was made in an effort to highlight So Many Scallops since so many of you chose this as your freebie with your most recent order. It was a fast and easy card which we are finding are the best kind.
Stamp Sets: So Many Scallops, Wonderful Words
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Textured White
Ink: Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Wide Grosgrain Ribbon-Certainly Celery

This next card was made using the Level 2 hostess bundle Spring Solitude. The inspiration for colors we used were from this card which can be found here. I love this little bird and branch and think I'll find myself using them a lot. I have seen so many cute cards using this set over on Splitcoast so I'll have to CASE them all!
Stamps: Spring Solitude
Paper: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White
Ink: AA and CC
Accessories: Sponge Dauber, Marvy Uchida Mega Circle Punch, MU Giga Scallop Circle Punch, SU! Large Oval Punch and Label Punch

I found this card while browsing the galleries on SC and knew I wanted to case it to highlight this Sale-a-Bration set. I know, I've been so good about trying to create my own cards, but this card was just beautiful! The creator of this card (Teneale Williams) added a little more as far as subtle details on her original, but we had 12 cards to make!
Stamp Set: Birthday Whimsy (Sale-a-Bration)
Colors: Rose Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon

To answer Tamara's question last night, yes I am in a bit of a bird phase right now. I am really just lovin' all of the bird images coming out and you should know that you will continue seeing birds here and there throughout the summer :-)

Stamp Sets: Always, Baroque Motifs
Colors: Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White
Pallette Burnt Umber and Clear EP were used to emboss the bird and sentiment

This card was designed around the red ribbon you see at the bottom. I got this with the Valentine's Day Bundle last month and decided to use it. I actually busted out the ol' Color Coach to help me with my color combo and ended up using Night of Navy and Creamy Caramel with the Real Red. I would have never thought to throw the caramel in with the red and navy. The ribbon was a little lower than I would have liked, but since I had already cut a notch in the card base, I just left it where it was.
Stamp Set: Lots of Thoughts (Sale-a-Bration)
Accessories: Square Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Real Red Wide Grosgrain Ribbon
