Seeing Spots

The title of this post pretty much sums up my day today. We flew in from Florida yesterday and arrived safely and without any delays which was a miracle in itself given the weather. I was feeling a little lightheaded after the flight but figured it would go away after a good night's sleep. Madeline woke up this morning and I went to get her and the room was spinning--I was literally seeing spots and was so dizzy! I won't get into the details, but will say that fortunately it all passed in a couple of hours. I decided to check out today's challenge on Splitcoast because I was having a little stamp withdrawal and I saw that the challenge was about using polka dots! HELLO! Could I just submit my failed project from last week which was a HOT dot mess? Ha! I wouldn't subject anyone to that card twice so I set out to make a new card. I was inspired by an invitation that I got from Your Reflection My Style (Maddie's photographer as I like to refer to them) and got to work. I decided to punch out the dots rather than stamp them because I thought it would be easier to line them up. I was going to have a panel of some sort with a sentiment on the card, but too many of the dots were covered up so I switched to just using an image that I punched out with the same size punch as the circles. I tried embellishing with ribbon but I didn't have any that matched and then I tried using this plastic ring thing-a-ma-bobber but that didn't look right so I ended up leaving it alone. It's pretty simple and basic, but I kinda like cards that way so it works for me. Now, I have tried to Photoshop it out, but I did have a minor fiasco with this card. I was yakking on the phone and at the same time shoveling Hershey's Kisses in my mouth...not a good idea when you have a card on white cardstock sitting in front of you--that tip comes free of charge.

Love your fresh modern colors and design. I hope to use something similar as a background! Thanks for the inspiration.
