LSC156: Signature Style

Using my own handwriting on a project is something I usually avoid altogether, but today's challenge forced me to do it! I wanted to use my new Aqua Mist paper from Papertrey Ink so I grabbed it and went from there. Let me just say that Papertrey is going to be giving Stampin' Up! a run for their money now that they are coming out with their own exclusive colors in paper, inks and ribbon. They released two colors this month, Aqua Mist and Spring Moss. I only ordered the Aqua Mist and I have to say that it's a decent cardstock for a card base and I love the fact that they have a variety of coordinating ribbons for each color they're releasing. I would have to say I still prefer Stampin' Up!'s colored cardstock, but as long as Papertrey's colors continue to be different than what Stampin' Up! offers, I'll have to collect them all :-). Back to the card...I embossed the bird image with clear embossing powder. The image was stamped with Aqua Mist ink--it's made by Palette Inks so it's a hybrid ink and great for embossing. I colored in the negative image with a black Stampin' Write marker to give the bird a little more pizazz. The sentiment on the bottom was done by using part of a rub-on from the Sale-a-Bration rub-on set and you can see where I wrote, "to a wonderful" in black marker. I finished the card with a duo of ribbon.

Stamps: Always
Paper: Aqua Mist PTI, Basic Black SU!, Whisper White
Ink: Aqua Mist PTI, Basic Black
Accessories: Clear EP, Aqua Mist Satin Ribbon PTI, 1/4" Black Grosgrain SU!, SAB Rub-Ons
