Little Birdie

I have a strange affinity for birds. My grandmother collected little birds for my sister and me (some of you may have noticed them in my living room) and since she has passed away, I've always had this connection with her and birds. Not that any of you needed this insight into my life or anything, but there it is. When Stampin' Up! offered this stamp set at a discounted price for demos as a pre-order, I actually passed it up because there were few birds that caught my eye in the new catalog and I thought I'd just get one of those other sets. Well, of course the enablers at Splitcoast got to me and I added this set onto my January order (no discount!) and I really love it. Marie and JoLynn--you should have seen this patterned paper coming a mile away. The other night as class was wrapping up, I noticed that I had a lot of these squares left over from the notepad project (which reminds me, I still need to post that...I'll do it next). I joked with JoLynn and Marie that they would be seeing that patterned paper in an upcoming project--well, here it is! I haven't stamped anything on the inside of this card yet, but the set has a bunch of sentiments covering a variety of occasions so I'll just wait until I need to give this card away to finish it.

Stamp Set: A Little Bird Told Me
Colors: Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, Whisper White

So glad to see the paper put to good use. I had no idea about your grandmother's love for birds. Your blog is so informative for me. :)
