Color Challenge #150: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Real Red

Nothing gets ya out of a color rut faster than a color challenge! I've only participated in a few of the color challenges, but two out of three have been a REAL challenge seeing they've given us colors I would never put together. On this project, I was considering just doing something with a tiny, tiny bit of red--but, then I decided that I wasn't even trying so I ended up with what you see here. I used my wide grosgrain ribbon from SU! and I thought that added plenty of red. Oh, you know how much I love brown--I think brown as an accent color here would have been super :-) Anyway, in case you're wondering--that scalloped edge on the Soft Sky layer was made with my corner rounder. If you remove the guard, you can create a scalloped border. Now, my old Creative Memories rounder doesn't have a removable guard so you'll have to see if your particular corner rounder will work for this technique. If not, I picked mine up at Wal-Mart for $4 (made by EK Success).

I really like this color combo. A real stretch outside the box for you. Ha, ha. Very pretty card!
