Wise Owl

It seems that owls have been a big trend in stamps this past year. Papertrey Ink's response to this trend is an adorable stamp set designed by Alli Miles. I love that the set comes with two owls but then also one that you can customize by creating your own with the different stamps included in the set--very versatile and lots of fun! I also appreciate the fact that there are a bunch of sentiments included with the set--helps make any project complete if you ask me. I had some new American Crafts paper calling out my name so I sat down to make a card while Maddie was napping. As I mentioned earlier, once my new Stampin' Up! stuff gets here, my other supplies will be neglected so it's really now or never! This poor owl set has been in my house for a month or so and hasn't seen ink yet--that's pretty sad! I stamped the owl using Adirondack ink since I wanted to color the little guy with Copics. I stamped the belly with Pumpkin Pie and then colored over it with a Brick Beige (E31) Copic to eliminate the white--it was just too bright and didn't look right. The rest is pretty self-explanatory so I'll leave it at that. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
