Jumping on the Bella Bandwagon

Well, it took longer than I thought it would, but I have finally started a Bella collection. About a month or so ago, there was a free shipping promotion going on at Stamping Bella so I had to take advantage. I'd like to introduce Cupcakeabella--isn't she cute? I made this card for my friend Sherri whose birthday is coming up next week. I had experimented with some different sized circles and layouts for last week's card (the Changito and the circles) and I didn't want to throw away the scraps I didn't use so I saved them thinking they could come in handy for another project. Well, since they were still sitting there on my table this morning, I decided to use them for this card--the benefits of not cleaning up my room right away :-).
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bellas, here is some information for you to consider if you're interested in purchasing them:

• Bellas are stamps that are on unmounted rubber. They are already trimmed.
• You can use them with double-stick tape and an acrylic block or you can mount them on EZ mount so that you can easily stick them on and off your acrylic blocks. I chose to use EZ mount with my Bellas and I love it. I prefer the added cushion that the EZ mount adds and I didn't want to deal with getting adhesive on my acrylic blocks. I ended up buying a Hot Knife at Michael's with a 40% off coupon to use when mounting my stamps on the EZ mount because it helped by trimming the EZ mount to size perfectly. I was intimidated by this whole process when I first went to the Bella site last year, but I'm glad I went ahead and bought them because the process isn't nearly as difficult or time-consuming as I thought it would be.
• Stamping Bella is located in Ontario so the shipping and handling charges are slightly higher than what you might be accustomed to with companies based in the US. It also takes a little longer for items to arrive. My order took about 2.5-3 weeks to arrive (I think that the free shipping and handling promotion contributed to the delay in processing orders :-)
• Bottom line: I'm happy with my Bellas and will purchase from Stamping Bella again when there is a free s&h promotion.
