WT160: Rub It In!

Today's Ways to Use It Challenge asked us to use rub-ons. I chose to make a card even though there are so many other great items that rub-ons work well with. If you got some rub-ons during Sale-a-Bration and haven't tried them yet, you will find that they are very easy to use. Simply cut out the image that you want to use and place it on your project wherever you'd like to adhere it. Then, use your fancy applicator (popsicle stick) and rub over the entire image until it has transferred to the cardstock. You can see the image lighten on the transfer sheet as it's being applied. Carefully, lift the corner of the transfer sheet to see if the rub-on has completely been rubbed in. You can always carefully place the sheet back down if you need to continue working on the image. If it's transferred, the paper will lift right off and your image will be on your paper. Just a note, Basic Grey makes a rub-on tool if you are interested in getting one--I like having one on hand because I seem to lose the popsicle sticks. There are a lot of rub-ons available and you will find that not all are created equal. I'm happy to let you know that Stampin' Up!'s rub-ons are top notch so give them a try!

This is really sharp looking with the black rub ons and the kraft paper!
